Description

Viraday consists of three molecules combined in a fixed-dose combination for managing HIV-1 infection in adults. The molecules include tenofovir disoproxil (TDF) 300 mg, Efavirenz (EFV) 600 mg, and Emtricitabine (FTC) 200 mg. In terms of dosage, the triple combinational drug is taken orally as a single tablet once daily without food. The bedtime dosing schedule is preferred over others, as it takes out possibilities of procuring symptoms of the nervous system.

Viraday (TDF 300 mg + EFV 600 mg + FTC 200 mg) is avoided in patients with moderate to severe renal (kidney) impairment. It is indicated as a complete regimen for preventing the multiplication of HIV cells in the body. However, it does not necessarily cure the infection.
